Waterbury, CT- The Post University golf team finished second out of 12 teams in the Saint Thomas Aquinas College Spring Invitational held in Ocean City, Maryland at Rum Pointe Golf Club.

Calum Malcolm (Dunferminline, Scotland) finished second with rounds of 76-78 (154) on the par 72 layout. Dave Croteau (Terryville, CT) finished third at 155. Tom Dorso (Waterbury, CT) finished with a 168. Geoffrey Adams (Waterbury, CT) shot a two-round total of 170.

Post ended with a team score of 647, which was five strokes worse than first place St. Thomas Aquinas, and three shots clear of Dowling College.

The first round was played in heavy winds, heavy rains and the wind chill made the temperature near freezing. The second round took place under similar circumstances sans the rain.

?Our guys gutted it out under deplorable scoring conditions,? said Pete Stevens, head golf coach. ?We?re looking forward to the time when all of our players are playing their ?A? game.?

The team will be in action Sunday and Monday at the 36-hole Dowling College Invitational. The tournament will be played at Pine Hills Country Club in Manorville, Long Island.
