Tobiason Leads Goldey-Beacom Past Wilmington, Neumann College

WILMINGTON, DE ? Junior Mike Tobiason (Wilmington, DE) shot a 73 to lead the Goldey-Beacom College golf team past Wilmington College and Neumann College Friday afternoon at Frog Hollow Golf Club in Wilmington.

The Lightning finished the afternoon with a team score of 318, which was 30 strokes better than second-place Wilmington College (348) while Neumann College finished 19 strokes behind the Wildcats in third place (367).

Goldey-Beacom posted five of the top six golfers on the afternoon. Sophomore Steve Cutler (Kennett Square, PA) finished in second place with a score of 80, followed by senior Michael Clair (Landenberg, PA) in third place at 81, junior Nick Nardo (Newark, DE) in fifth place at 84 and senior Chris Ciupinski (Ocean Township, NJ) in sixth place at 86.

Other finishers for the Lightning included senior Adam Blood (Selbyville, DE) in a tie for seventh place with a score of 88, junior Kristin Gamgort (Hockessin, DE) in 13th place with a score of 91, and sophomore David Pfotzer (Newark, DE) and senior Shawn Ganow (Cochranville, PA) in a three-way tie for 16th place with a score of 94.
