MIDDLEFIELD, CT- Junior Mike Tobiason (Wilmington, DE) of Goldey-Beacom College defended his tournament championship for the second straight year in leading his team to the overall title at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Golf Tournament.  He finished with a two-day total of 147 (+3).

After the front nine (27 holes) Goldey and Post University were tied, but Goldey used a 144 back nine (even par) to take the title for the third straight year.  Goldey’s second-day total of 305 bested their previous best round by five shots.  GBC’s Steve Cutler (+4) had the best round of the event with a 71, which included three straight birdies on the back nine.  Cutler finished second.  Tobiason had two eagles on the back.  Post’s Tom Dorso (Waterbury, CT), the first round leader, finished third at 152 (+8).
