Waterbury, CT-The Post University men?s golf team, ranked third in the Division II Northeast Region, will raise the level of competition next week as the team embarks on a trip to North Carolina.

The first event features some of the best Division II teams in the nation. The Eagles will play in Barton, North Carolina at the Barton Invitational Monday and Tuesday. A few days later Post will play in a Division I tournament at East Carolina University.

"The trip south will be a good warm-up for our spring season,? said head coach Pete Stevens. ?It will also give our program some national exposure."

Post University is led by freshman sensation Calum Malcolm (Dunferminline, Scotland). He is fourth in the region with a scoring average of 75.5. Dave Croteau (Terryville, CT) is eighth in the region at 76.40. Tommy Dorso, Jr. (Waterbury, CT) is ninth in the region at 76.70. Post is hoping to make the NCAAs. The top eight teams in the region go the NCAA Tournament.
