Calum Malcolm earns medallist honors

Albany, NY-The Teikyo Post University men's golf team, ranked third in the New England region, finished first out of five teams at the Saint Rose Invitational at Colonie Country Club.

Calum Malcolm (Dunfermline, Scotland) fired an even par 72 to earn medallist honors. The region's second ranked golfer Dave Croteau (Terryville, CT) came in at 81. Tom Dorso, Jr. (Waterbury, CT) finished in solo third at 75.

Dorso is the region's sixth ranked golfer and Malcolm is slotted 10th.

Adam Belleville (Ludlow, MA) finished up at 84.

Post's team score was 312, four better than Saint Rose. Pace University entered the clubhouse with a 321, Massachusetts-Lowell (333) and American International (345).

"I'm very pleased with Calum," said head golf coach Pete Stevens. "He's starting to find his way around American golf courses."

Post will be back in action at the 36 hole Saint Thomas Aquinas Fall Invitational.

Post University is 37-6 overall and unblemished in league play. Their nearest conference challenger is Goldey-Beacom who is ranked eighth in the region.
