FELICIAN MEN'S XC PLACES 14TH AT NCAA REGIONAL

SLIPPERY ROCK, PA -- The Felician men's cross country team finished 14th out of 30 schools at the NCAA Division II East Regional Championship held Saturday morning at Slippery Rock University.

Junior Paul Chegwidden (Hamburg, NJ) was the No. 1 man for the Golden Falcons, ending up in 70th place out of 182 runners with a 10,000-meter time of 35 minutes, 27.55 seconds. Classmate Mike Burghoffer (Stockholm, NJ) placed 73rd in 35:54.90, helping Felician to a total of 437 points.

Felician, which won the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference team championship two weeks ago, once again finished first among CACC schools, 83 points better than Philadelphia University. Lock Haven University won the regional team championship with 49 points, and LHU's Ryan Blood was the individual winner in 31:35.00.

The regional championship race was 2,000 meters longer than any regular-season course. Complete results are attached.
