WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Danielle Gerz scored at 14:15, which proved to the winning margin as West Chester (17-0-0) defeated Holy Family (10-6-2) 1-0 Thursday afternoon in a non-conference matchup.

The Golden Rams, ranked second in the country in Division II by the National Soccer Coaches' Association of America, held Holy Family to just two shots.

However, Golden Ram netminder Hilary Smart needed to make a goal-line save to preserve the win.

For Holy Family, Kelly McGrogan (Jr./Philadelphia, PA/St. Hubert's) made 11 saves for the Tigers in the loss.

Holy Family will play Wednesday afternoon in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference semifinals at Tryon Field in Rutherford, N.J. Game time will be set following the outcome of Saturday's matchup between Georgian Court and Philadelphia University.
