Nyack, NY * Tim Conway (Billerica, MA) had two goals and two assists to lead Nyack past visiting Bloomfield College, 5-1. Conway assisted on the first two goals of the game, one by Greg Allen (Mayfield, NY) and the other by Sammy Oduro (Toronto, Canada). Both were beautiful feeds from Conway allowing his teammates to break free from the defenders for a clean shot on goal. Oduro also had two goals this afternoon and one assist returning the favor to Conway on one of his goals. His other goal came on a penalty kick after he was tripped in the box on what looked like a sure goal as he had the defenders beat. Conway finished off the scoring when he shot the ball from 18 yards out and hit the cross bar. He then headed the ball out of the air for the goal. Manuel Pereda scored the lone goal for Bloomfield on a free kick from 20 yards out that sailed over Nyack keeper Jack Carillo's (Cornwall, NY) head.
With their first conference win of the year, Nyack improves to 3-10 overall and 1-5 in the CACC. Nyack out shot Bloomfield 22-5 on the afternoon. Fouls were close to even with BC having 13 and NC 11. BC keeper Dennis Amoateng had 4 saves on the afternoon while Carillo recorded 2 saves. Nyack is back in action on Wednesday October 4th at home against Southern New Hampshire University at 3:30pm.
