DOMINICAN MEN'S SOCCER DOWNS WILMINGTON, 3-0

Blauvelt, NY - The Dominican College men's soccer team is now the only undefeated team in the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) after posting a 3-0 victory over previous unbeaten Wilmington College this afternoon at the DC Soccer Field.

With twelve minutes left in the first half Dominican got on the board as James Hamilton (Renfrewshire, England) put one past the Wildcat keeper to take the 1-0 lead.

Dominican added to the lead as junior Diego Miranda (Quito, Ecuador) hit a free kick goal at 44:04 as the Chargers held a 2-0 lead at the half.

Sophomore Joseph Ruesgan (Scotland) took a pass from junior Ryan Clancy (Pine Bush, NY) and put it in the net for the final 3-0 victory.

With the win, the Chargers improve to 8-3-1 overall and remain undefeated in CACC play at 6-0. The Wildcats fall to 9-4-2 overall and are 4-1-1 in the CACC.

Wildcat keeper Dan Mangat (Newark, DE) had seven saves in the loss. DC out shot WC 17-1.

The Chargers are back in action on Tuesday when they host LeMoyne College at 3:30 pm at the DC Soccer Field.
