Post Baseball Alum Jose Reyes Signs With Rockland Boulders

WATERBURY, Conn. (July 18, 2012) – Post University alumnus and former member of the baseball program Jose Reyes signed a professional contract with the Rockland Boulders of the Canadian American Association of Professional Baseball on Sunday, July 15. Reyes graduated from Post in 2010 and becomes the third member of the program to ink a contract this summer.
To date this season, the Boulders are 29-27 and stand in third place in the CanAm. Rockland has 44 contests remaining during the regular season. Signed as an infielder, Reyes is 4-for-10 at the plate in his first four games with the Boulders. The team is 3-1 since his addition.
Reyes graduated from Post ranked all-time in runs scored with 96 and tied for sixth in stolen bases with 26. In his senior season, Reyes helped the Eagles to the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Tournament finals, and was one of two student-athletes to start all 47 games on the year.
He hit .264 for the season and boasted an on-base percentage of .356. Reyes was 7-for-10 in stolen base attempts.
