NYACK,
N.Y.- Nyack College Athletic Director Keith Davie is proud to
announce that the men’s baseball program will call Provident
Bank Park their home field starting this spring. The newly built,
state of the art, 38 million dollar stadium serves as the home
field for the Rockland Boulders of the Can-Am league.
"This
is an amazing step for our program and playing in this elite
baseball facility will simply
validate our program on the national level,” quotes Coach
Davie. “I am so happy for our coach and our baseball program
and thankful to the Rockland Local Development Corporation for
working with us."
The
stadium features a seating capacity of 6,000 and measures 313 to
right field, 403 to center, and 323 to left field. The center field
wall/batter's eye stands 35 feet tall and has been aptly named the
“Rockland Monster.”
“Our
baseball program is tremendously blessed to have such a supportive
administration behind us, that always pushes for the best possible
experiences for our student athletes,” states Head Baseball
Coach Matt Cornacchione. “I’m extremely excited about
making Provident Bank Park our home field for years to come and
know that this will certainly move our program in a great
direction.”
The
Warriors are currently set to play 12 dates at Provident Bank this
spring.
