BLOOMFIELD BASEBALL TEAM PROVIDES INSTRUCTION FOR AREA YOUTH

Bloomfield, NJ - Approximately 40 children ages 6-12 from Bloomfield's youth baseball leagues attended the "Bloomfield College Instructional Baseball Camp" on February 2nd and 3rd. The camp was hosted by Bloomfield's Recreation Department and Full Count Baseball.

The camp was led by Bloomfield's Head Coach Matt Belford, as well as his coaching staff and players from the Deacon baseball team. Emphasis was placed on the basic baseball fundamentals of hitting, throwing, fielding and running.

"The camp provides instruction in proper baseball mechanics through effective station drills designed to build skill development," said Belford. "The mission of our camp is to also strengthen inner core values and principles, encourage abilities in leadership, fair play, and team work and provide a fun, rewarding and memorable camp."

"The Bloomfield College Deacon's Baseball program takes pride in helping the youth in our community," said Assistant Coach Steve Ditrolio. "Not only is this a rewarding experience for the kids, but also for the young men who take the time to share their skills with all involved. This is a win-win situation".
