DOMINICAN AND WILMINGTON RANKED IN NCBWA POLL

April 17, 2006

NEW HAVEN, CT - Dominican and Wilmington are ranked seventh and eighth, respectively, in the latest National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association (WCBWA) poll, which was released today. Franklin Pierce remains in the top spot.

Dominican and Wilmington are currently first and second in the CACC standings. The Chargers are 13-2 in conference play and 25-12 overall, while the Wildcats are 12-3 in the CACC and 21-14 overall.

The NCBWA's Northeast Regional committee for 2006 is Doug Monson, Sports Information Directorat Franklin Pierce (coordinator), Ken Johnson, SID at Saint Anselm, Chuck Sadowski, SID at New Haven, Jennifer Mischke, SID at Molloy, Tony Berich, Assistant AD/SID at Philadelphia and Bob Heller, Assistant AD/SID at University of Sciences in Philadelphia.

The NCBWA Division II Northeast Regional poll is in no way affiliated with the NCAA Division II Tournament selection committee rankings.
