FOUR CACC PLAYERS NAMED TO ALL-NORTHEAST REGION BASEBALL TEAM

Easton, MA - Franklin Pierce College junior shortstop Garrett Olson has been named as the 2006 American Baseball Coaches of America/Rawlings Division II Northeast Region Player of the Year, while Saint Anselm College junior pitcher Ryan Williams has been tabbed as the ABCA/Rawlings Division II Northeast Regional Pitcher of the Year. Lino Mariot of Bloomfield College, Mike Zani of Dominican College and Dan Cleary and Kenny McGrady of Wilmington College were all second team selections.

The announcement came today from Patrick Boen, Head Baseball Coach at Stonehill College and the Northeast Regional chair of the ABCA Division II All-America Committee.

As winners of the regional awards, Olson and Williams are both assured of spots on the 2006 ABCA/Rawlings Division II All-America team, which will be announced later this month.

The 2006 ABCA/Rawlings Division II Northeast Regional team is as follows:
