NJIT AND FELICIAN TO PARTICIPATE IN ECAC BASEBALL TOURNAMENT

NEW HAVEN, CT ? NJIT and Felician College will participate in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division II Baseball Tournament this weekend, it was announced today. The Highlanders are the #2 seed in the tournament and the Golden Falcons are the third seed. Molloy College is the top seed.

NJIT will serve as the host for the tournament and the games will begin on Sunday, May 21, at Bears and Eagles Riverfront Stadium in Newark. NJIT and Felician will meet at noon and Molloy will face each team later in the day at 3:30 pm and 7:00 pm. The tournament will conclude on Monday and is a double-elimination format.

NJIT is 24-17 overall this season and compiled a 15-11 mark in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play. Felician is coming off an appearance in the CACC Baseball Tournament championship game this past weekend, where the Golden Falcons fell to Dominican College. Felician is 29-25 overall this season and went 15-12 in conference play.

Sunday, May 21

Game #1: #3 Felician vs. #2 NJIT - Noon

Game #2: #1 Molloy vs. Loser of Game #1 ? 3:30 pm

Game #3: Molloy vs. Winner of Game #1 ? 7:00 pm
