POTTER, DUESLER, MURPHY AND BINKIEWICZ EARN WEEKLY BASEBALL HONORS

NEW HAVEN, CT - Jeff Potter of NJIT and Chad Duesler of Dominican were named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Co-Players of the Week for the week ending Sunday, April 16. Pitcher of the Week honors went to Caldwell's Tommy Murphy and the Rookie of the Week went to NJIT's Craig Binkiewicz.

Potter hit .529 (9-for-17) with six runs scored, four RBI and a home run in a 5-0 week for NJIT. The senior catcher from Cherry Hill, NJ, went 3-for-3 with two runs and an RBI after hitting a double and a triple against Post and he went 2-for-4 with a run, two RBI and a home run against the Eagles earlier in the week.

Duesler, a senior from Northville, NY, hit .625 (10-for-16) with five RBI, three runs scored and one home run in a 5-1 week for the Chargers. He went 3-for-4 with two runs, three RBI and a triple against Nyack and belted a home run in a 3-for-3 effort against Post.


Murphy hurled a complete-game two-hitter in the first game of a double-header against Nyack on Wednesday. The sophomore from Monroe, NY, fanned a career-best 13 batters in the 9-0 victory and surrendered only two walks.

Binkiewicz, a freshman from Belleville, NJ, hit .579 (11-for-19) for the week with six runs scored, six RBI and five stolen bases. He sported a .609 on-base percentage. He went 3-for-4 with three runs, an RBI and three stolen bases against Post and collected multiple hits in three other games.
