KEEGAN, MATTERER AND MADE EARN BASEBALL WEEKLY HONORS

NEW HAVEN, CT - Tom Keegan of Dominican College has been named Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, March 26. Joe Matterer of Wilmington College has been selected as the Pitcher of the Week and Jose Made of Dominican is the Rookie of the Week.

Keegan, a junior infielder, hit .667 (10-for-18) for the week in six games. Keegan, who is from Dickson, City, PA, had a .944 slugging percentage, scored 10 runs, drove in five, stole seven bases and notched three doubles and one triple. He went 4-for-5 with two runs, two doubles and one RBI in a 9-3 win over Adelphi.


Matterer, a sophomore right-hander, hurled 7.0 innings in a win over NJIT and allowed only two hits and no earned runs, while fanning seven. The Newark, DE native also did not walk a batter in his only appearance of the week.

Made, a freshman infielder from Binghamton, NY, hit .516 (16-31) with a team-high 16 hits in a 7-1 week. He had at least two hits in six of the seven games, including two, three-hit games. He scored 13 runs for the week, drove in five and collected four doubles and two triples.
