Junior pitcher Hector Rodriguez (Bloomfield, NJ) gave the Deacons their best pitching performance of the year. He pitched nine complete innings and struck out seven. Caldwell's only run was unearned, coming from an error in the seventh inning.

For the Deacons, Jon Moehlig (Clarkston, MI) went 3-4 with 2 RBI, Lino Mariot (Woodbridge, NJ) went 1-3 with 2 walks and 2 runs scored, and Webster Zachary (New Haven, CT) went 2-5 with one run scored. Bob Beyer (Edison, NJ) went 2-4 with 2 RBI.
