Norton Named Head Baseball Coach at Nyack College

Nyack, NY * Keith Davie announced today the hiring of Josh Norton as the head men's baseball coach. Josh graduated from Nyack College in 2004. He was a 3-year starter for the baseball team after transferring from division I St. Peters College. His senior year he was named to the All-CACC team as well as NCCAA All East-Region.
He spent this past year as an assistant coach for Southeastern College in Florida until he moved back up to New Jersey where he was an assistant coach at The College of New Jersey. While coaching Josh has also been playing baseball. He signed a contract this spring to play with the Atlantic City Surf of the Atlantic League on April 15th, but was let go on May 24th. One day later he signed with the Lakewood Blue Claws the class A affiliate of the Philadelphia Phillies.
"I love the opportunity to coach at a Christ-centered college because the athletes are here for more than just athletics," states Norton. "I'm looking forward to continuing on the winning tradition of Nyack baseball."
