POST'S JIMMY COLEMAN SIGNS PRO CONTRACT

Waterbury, CT-Former Post University standout Jimmy Coleman (Marston Mills, MA) has signed a professional baseball contract with the Brockton Rox of the Independent Canadian-American (Can-Am) League.
Coleman, the all-time hits leader at Post, has played two games with Brockton, going 2-9 with three stolen bases. He is now a teammate of one-time major league pitcher Dennis ?Oil Can? Boyd. The Can-Am has eight teams and features former big league players. The Rox have averaged just under 4,000 fans a game this season and are owned by Mike Veeck and Bill Murray.
