Bloomfield junior baseball player Lino Mariot (Perth Amboy, NJ) was named Player of the Year for Division II and freshman Jonathan Moehlig (Clarkstown, MI) was named to the second team and All-Rookie Team by the New Jersey Collegiate Baseball Association (NJCBA).

Mariot, an infielder, won Bloomfield's batting title this season as well as the 2004 season. This year, he averaged .427 and started all of Bloomfield's 44 games. In addition to his hitting average, Mariot led Bloomfield in slugging percentage (.610), stolen bases (36), runs scored (47), hits, (70), doubles (14), home runs (4) and total bases (100).

Mariot was also named to the first team, all-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC), in which he led in runs scored, stolen bases and total bases and was tied for first in doubles. He tied for fourth in home runs, was ranked third in on base percentage (.495) and was second in slugging percentage.

He was also invited to play for the Cotuit Kettleers in the prestigious Cape Cod Baseball League this summer. He was tapped to fill a spot on the Kettleers' roster as a temporary player. He is the first baseball player from Bloomfield College and the CACC to be invited to play in the league, which is usually reserved for players in NCAA Division I schools. Bloomfield is a NCAA Division II institution.

Moehlig, a freshman, was named to the second team by the NJCBA as a designated hitter. He was also named to the CACC first team. He had an average of .370 with 25 runs, 44 hits, 8 doubles, 15 RBI and 52 total bases. His slugging percentage was .437, and his on base percentage was .510.
