Bridgeport Hands Post Another Loss

Waterbury, CT--The Post University baseball team had an error-filled experience in a 16-7 loss to the University of Bridgeport at Municipal Stadium Tuesday.

Bridgeport's bats came alive for 16 runs and 18 hits, but Post helped UB's cause with 10 costly errors.

Ron Campbell got the start for the Purple Knights and picked up the victory. Erik Barber garnered four hits and two runs scored, third baseman Chris Petroski had three hits, four RBI and two runs scored. Three other Purple knights had two hit games and everybody who started for UB had at least one hit.

For the Eagles, Matt Rheault and Jordan Klein had two hits each. Chris Gelalich added two RBIs.

UB is now 7-13 overall. Post is 1-29-1.

Post will play Wednesday at 5:00 in Nyack for a double dip, while UB is back in action on Wednesday afternoon when the Purple Knights travel to Mercy for a NYCAC game beginning at 3:30 p.m.
