NEWARK, N.J. -- Chris Legiadre of Manalapan, a junior pitcher for NJIT, was named New Jersey Collegiate Baseball Association Division II/III Co-Pitcher of the Week, the NJCBA announced today. It is the third NJCBA Pitcher of the Week award for Legiadre this season.

Legiadre was honored following his complete-game victory over Caldwell in the CACC Tournament last Friday. In a 14-1 losers' bracket victory, Legiadre did not allow an earned run in nine innings of work. He allowed seven hits, all singles, struck out seven and walked none.

A 2001 graduate of Manalapan High, Legiadre is 7-2 with a 3.25 earned run average this season. He has a career record of 21-6. NJIT (22-18, 18-6) was the CACC regular-season champion and the runner-up in the tournament.

The NJCBA is made up of all the four-year universities in New Jersey which offer baseball.
