Three CACC Hoops Teams Ranked in NCAA Regional Rankings

NEW HAVEN, Conn. (February 22, 2012)
– Two Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference men’s basketball teams (Bloomfield and Philadelphia) along with the Holy Family women’s basketball team are ranked in the latest edition of the NCAA Regional rankings, which were released on Feb. 22.

Bloomfield (21-7, 15-3 CACC) sits at No. 5 in the East Region and will enter the upcoming 2012 CACC Conference Tournament as the No. 1 seed from the North Division.  Philadelphia University (18-8, 13-4 CACC) was ranked No. 10 in the East Region after finishing in second place in the South Division of the CACC.

Holy Family (21-7, 17-2 CACC) was slotted at No. 10 in the East.  The Tigers have captured the South Division title every year since 2007-08, when the CACC moved to the current two-division format.

The 2012 CACC Men’s and Women’s Basketball Championships tip off this Saturday, Feb. 25 at campus sites of the higher seeds.
