PHILADELPHIA, PA - Sarah Punderson, most recently an Assistant Director of Athletic Communications at La Salle University, has been named the Assistant Athletic Director/Sports Information Director (SID) at Philadelphia University, Director of Athletics Tom Shirley announced today.

"I look forward to adding Sarah as the newest member of the Philadelphia University Athletic Department," said Shirley. 

Punderson is no stranger to Philadelphia, having spent over a year in Athletic Communications at NCAA Division I La Salle University, which has 22 varsity sports.  She worked directly with men's basketball, cross country/track and field, men's soccer and softball.  She recently served as the Women's College World Series (WCWS) press conference moderator in Oklahoma City, OK.   

The Island Heights, NJ native was also a member of the La Salle Explorers softball team as a student, holding a starting position at third base and shortstop. 

Previous to La Salle she worked as an Assistant Sports Information Director at New England College in Henniker, New Hampshire as part of a two-year NCAA grant.  While there she gained a wealth of NCAA Championship experience including the NCAA Division III Women's Final Four and the NCAA Division III New England Baseball Championship.     

Punderson also holds an M.S. in Management from New England College, and currently resides in Philadelphia, PA.
