CACC ANNOUNCES WINTER ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM

NEW HAVEN, CT (March 26, 2009) - The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) has announced its All-Academic team for the 2008-09 winter athletic season today. A total of 26 student-athletes among the 13 conference schools earned the honor.

Dominican College first team All-Conference guard Althea Chambers was named to the team for the third time in her career, while six other student-athletes were repeat selections.

In order to be named to the CACC All-Academic team, recipients must have participated in a winter CACC Championship sport, be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have been a student at their current school for at least two semesters, and achieve a cumulative grade-point-average of 3.50 or higher.
