Cross Country (Women) ? The Goldey-Beacom College women?s cross country team will compete at the NCAA Northeast Regional at Indiana University in Pennsylvania (IUP) this Saturday, November 6.

Cross Country (Men) ? The Goldey-Beacom College men?s cross country team will compete at the NCAA Northeast Regional at Indiana University in Pennsylvania (IUP) this Saturday, November 6.

Golf: The Goldey-Beacom College fall golf season is complete.

Women?s soccer ? The Goldey-Beacom College women?s soccer team split a pair of games last week, defeating Georgian Court College 2-1 Wednesday afternoon before falling to Nyack College, 1-0, on Friday afternoon. Senior Kristin Johnston (Delaware City, DE) and sophomore Kelli Parsons (Hockessin, DE) scored for the Lightning against Georgian Court and sophomore goalkeeper Stephanie Steele (Wilmington, DE) made nine saves in the win. The Lightning finished the regular season 6-10-2 (5-4-1 CACC) and will be the No. 5 seed in the 2004 CACC Tournament, where they take on No. 4 Dominican College Monday afternoon at 2 p.m. in New York.

Men?s Soccer: The Goldey-Beacom College men?s soccer team fell to Nyack College in its season-finale, 6-1. Junior Bruno Farias (Recife, Brazil) scored the only goal for the Lightning, who lost five of their last six games to close the season with a record of 3-14-1 (2-5-01 CACC). Junior Bryan Rudden (Landenberg, PA) finished the game with seven saves. Farias finished the season leading the team in scoring with 22 points (10 G, 2 A) while senior Matt DiGiacobbe (Newark, DE) was next with 21 points (9 G, 3 A).

Volleyball ? The Goldey-Beacom College volleyball team captured a pair of wins from conference opponents last week, defeating Felician College 3-0 and Dominican College 3-1. The wins improved the Lightning to 17-12 on the season and 14-4 in the CACC. Freshman Adrienne Melvin (Newark, DE) posted a ?triple-double? against Dominican, posting 19 kills, 22 digs and 20 aces while junior Norah Burdette (Ellicott City, MD) had 24 kills and freshman Kendra Russell (New Castle, DE) had 20 kills. Burdette and Russell each had eight kills in the win over Felician College. Goldey-Beacom College wraps up regular-season play this week as it plays at Wilmington College Thursday night before hosting Holy Family University Saturday at 7 p.m.
