RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The Felician College men’s basketball team took a recent timeout from practice to participate in the College’s Midnight Run relief program. On Nov. 1, the Golden Falcons made a late-night trip to New York City to distribute food, clothing and other necessities to some of the city’s homeless citizens.
Midnight Run is a volunteer organization dedicated to finding
common ground between the housed
and homeless. Felician’s program has been in effect for
nearly five years under the direction of Fr. Tom
Orians of Campus Ministry. Orians solicits donations from
the campus community, and seeks volunteer individuals or groups to
go on the runs.

Falcon player and coach donated to the cause.
“This was a great experience for the kids in our
program,” said Felician second-year coach David
DeFerrari. “It’s always good to give back to
your community, and at the same time we got our eyes opened to the
struggles of everyday people. Hopefully they all took away a life
lesson to focus on what you have rather than what you don’t
have.”
