PHILADELPHIA TAKES PART IN FOURTH ANNUAL DAY OF SERVICE

Philadelphia, PA- The Philadelphia University Athletic Department participated in the fourth annual Day of Service on Tuesday, Sept. 27. The men’s and women’s basketball, men’s and women’s tennis, softball, baseball and golf teams all participated.
The men’s basketball team traveled to IHM Catholic School
in Philadelphia, PA to teach students fundamentals of the game and
participate with them in various fun activities.
PhilaU's women’s basketball team went to Holy Child Catholic School in Philadelphia, PA earli to help kindergarten and first grade students with activities around the classroom.
The women’s softball team made their way to ‘Henry Got Crops’ farm just outside of campus, where they took part in various tasks assigned to them.
The men’s and women’s tennis teams ventured out to St. Bridget’s School in Philadelphia to talk to the students about the adventures of being a college athlete. The teams also shared stories about sports and physical education.
PhilaU’s golf team made their way to Walnut Lane Golf Course just outside of campus to assist in maintenance of the course.
PhilaU’sbaseball team will travel to Northern Home for Children in Philadelphia to participate in activities with the children and help with tutoring.
